RIP Madiba
Dec. 6th, 2013 08:52 amI was ten years old when Nelson Mandela became president of South Africa. Apartheid was over and we were picking up the pieces of a fractured and unbalanced nation.
Of all the politicians I've read about over the years, I always compared them to this man. He stopped a civil war from happening, he gave South Africans a new kind of hope. He is the person everyone should aspire to be. Patient, smart, diplomatic and always with a smile. He made me proud to be a South African - which is more than I can say for the current bozo running things.
