I had such a great day yesterday and it wasn't even planned.

I was wallowing on my couch yesterday, watching series, when my friend J invited me to the movies - he had two free tickets. So I hustle to get ready and we head to the mall. Unfortunately, we had about 4 hours to kill until movie time, so i ended up buying two 2TB EXHD - way smaller than the cumbersome ones I own now and perfect for travelling.

So we're having a late lunch before the movie when my other friend sends me a message - He has an extra ticket to the stage show Handful of Keys. Now, I'm a huge theatre fan. I've been doing theatre most of my life and a chance to go see this show is pretty awesome.

J saw my face fall as I realised I was supposed to go to the movies with him. He laughed and said - If you don't go, I'm going to smack you. So I got the ticket and a ride to Monte Casino Theatre.

OMG - The show was brilliant and I got to meet the cast afterwards. The superbly talented and handsome Jonathan Roxmouth and Ian von Memerty. Unfortunately there is no footage on Youtube to link to, but the guys do tour the UK and States, so keep an eye out.

Today I am chilling, copying stuff onto drives and cleaning up. Tomorrow I turn 30. Never thought I'd see the day.

Hey, I might even write something.

So, on the eve of my 30th, I've been watching Matt Smith Dr Who as Clara irritates me and I've yet to warm up to Capaldi (sue me).

Anyway, I've realised something very important.

I am utterly terrified of being forced to settle and live a quiet, calm life in case I miss anything. And with this comes the collateral damage of a relationship and partner. And yet, when I see Amy and Rory travelling around with the Doctor, it gives me hope. It makes me realise that the right person will be someone who WANTS to travel with me.

I have yet to find that person, but the glimmer exists. And until I find that person, I'm going to fill my passport.
